Not sure if this will be of use to anyone else, but (like the Article Database) since I'm putting it together I might as well put it up for others to utilize.
As I read through the book mentioned in my last post, Animation Art by Jerry Beck, I'm putting together all the films mentioned in the book into YouTube playlists. I guess even if you're not reading through the book, this could interest you just to see important films in animation's history.
These aren't all the films mentioned, just the ones that I felt were important enough to look up. Also, a few more obscure films weren't on YouTube, but on other sites like Dailymotion. I didn't compile those into any list, I just looked them up separately.
I'll be adding to this as I make them:

CHAPTER TWO:
CHAPTER THREE:
CHAPTER FOUR:

Summer reading
If anyone is looking for a good book on animation history, I can't recommend Jerry Beck's Animation Art highly enough. It's pretty much the Illusion of Life for animation history. What I really appreciate is how he doesn't focus on one aspect of animation history, like only films from North America, or Disney. It covers pretty much everything.
I've read a lot of it before, but I'm going to start over and read the whole thing through this summer. I'm also going to be sitting next to a computer while I read so I can look up the films on YouTube as I read about them.

Update
Sorry I haven't been updating the Database recently, the past two semesters of school have been brutally time-consuming. Next week is finals week, then I plan on working on the list a lot during the summer. :)
